Q. What is Interlibrary Loan and how do I use it?

Answer

If we don't have the article, book, chapter, dissertation etc. that you are looking for, there is a good chance we can get it to you from another library.

Books, DVDs and other physical items can be requested through MaineCat.

With MaineCat, you can borrow from most public and academic libraries in the state and have your items delivered to your UNE campus. Because items are coming from within the state of Maine, delivery can be a bit quicker than with UNE Interlibrary Loan.

For articles, chapters, dissertations OR physical items, use UNE Interlibrary Loan.

Articles, chapters, and dissertations will be sent as .pdf files to your UNE Interlibrary Loan account, while physical items will be sent through the mail.
